The Village Police shall exercise its powers and perform its duties in Schedule-I of the Local Government (Union Parishad) Ordinance, 1973, regardless of whether any member is addressed by any name or title. The duties of the village police are as follows: (1) The Union Parishad will patrol day and night, (2) assist the Chairman and the Union Parishad in government work, (3) the Union will notify the officer in charge of the police station, (4) any riot. Inform the police station in case of commotion or quarrel, (5) Provide local information for government work, (6) Inform the Union Parishad about birth and death, (6) Assistance in collection and collection of rent or land development tax, fees or other dues.
